My Open Letter To Secretary Chu

June 15, 2012 § Leave a Comment

Dear Secretary Chu,

I understand you are looking for ideas on how to make solar power more affordable for the U.S. market:

The Energy Department’s SunShot Grand Challenge Summit got off to a roaring start this week in Denver, as Energy Secretary Steven Chu announced $10 million in prizes for the teams that can develop the most affordable rooftop solar power model for the U.S. market.

Long story short, I have an idea that would not only achieve grid parity but actually exceed it. Would create a lot of jobs, including those in the manufacturing sector. Would help stimulate the economy due to the extra cash that would instantly be in the pockets of millions of Americans. Would provide a profit making opportunity for the Treasury Department in the form of a little carry trade action. And in the spirit of saving the best for last, would possibly help your boss carry several important swing states in the upcoming presidential election.

This isn’t a joke. If you want to learn more you can email me at: nomorenakedroofs@gmail.com

p.s. I don’t need your $10 million prize. Just buy me a Bacon Cheeseburger at Five Guys and we’ll be cool.

Sincerely,

No More Naked Roofs Blogger
